Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Journal of Taiji Science (JTS) strictly adheres to the principles of academic integrity and publication ethics in line with the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and internationally recognized best practices. This policy applies to authors, editors, reviewers, and all parties involved in the publication process.
1. Responsibilities of Authors
- All submitted work must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- All authors must have substantially contributed to the research, approved the final version, and agreed to its submission.
- Any use of others’ work (text, figures, data) must be properly cited and acknowledged.
- Authors must disclose conflicts of interest, funding sources, and ethical approvals if applicable.
- Data must be accurate, transparent, and available for verification when required.
- Authors must notify the journal promptly if a significant error is discovered after publication.
2. Responsibilities of Editors
- Editorial decisions are made objectively and based on scholarly merit.
- Editors will treat submissions with confidentiality and disclose any conflicts of interest.
- Editors will take prompt action in cases of suspected plagiarism, fabrication, or other ethical misconduct.
- When necessary, the editorial office will issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern.
3. Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers
- Peer reviews must be objective, constructive, and free of bias.
- Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts.
- Reviewers should decline reviews where a conflict of interest exists.
- Reviewers may not use unpublished materials for personal benefit.
4. Retraction & Correction Policy
JTS reserves the right to retract or correct published content in the following circumstances:
- Proven cases of plagiarism, data falsification, or research misconduct.
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest that impact the integrity of the publication.
- Errors that affect the reliability or conclusions of the article.
Retractions and corrections will follow COPE guidelines and be clearly marked and explained.
5. Ethical Oversight
JTS supports strong ethical oversight and reserves the right to refer serious ethical violations to the relevant institutions or funders. We promote a publishing environment rooted in integrity, transparency, and accountability.
