Ethics & Policies

The Journal of Taiji Science (JTS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. We adhere to the principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expect authors, reviewers, and editors to follow ethical practices in all stages of the publishing process.

1. For Authors

  • Submit only original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  • Properly cite all sources and provide full disclosure of any conflicts of interest or funding.
  • Obtain informed consent when research involves human participants.
  • Ensure that all listed co-authors have contributed significantly and approved the final version.
  • Cooperate with editors during peer review and revision.

2. For Reviewers

  • Evaluate manuscripts objectively, confidentially, and in a timely manner.
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest and decline to review if necessary.
  • Avoid using unpublished materials from the manuscript for personal benefit.
  • Provide constructive and respectful feedback to support editorial decisions.

3. For Editors

  • Make impartial publication decisions based solely on academic merit.
  • Protect the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
  • Address allegations of misconduct in accordance with COPE guidelines.
  • Ensure transparent peer review processes and timely communication with authors and reviewers.

4. Misconduct and Plagiarism

JTS has a zero-tolerance policy toward:

  • Plagiarism (including self-plagiarism),
  • Data fabrication or falsification,
  • Improper authorship attribution,
  • Duplicate or redundant publication.

All allegations will be investigated. Proven misconduct may result in rejection, retraction, or a formal notice of correction.

5. Retraction and Correction Policy

Articles may be retracted or corrected in cases of error, misconduct, or legal risk. Please refer to our separate “Retraction & Correction Policy” for full details.

6. Data Sharing and Reproducibility

Authors are encouraged to share datasets, code, and materials where appropriate to support reproducibility and transparency. Supplementary materials may be published alongside articles.

7. Conflicts of Interest

All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, academic, or personal relationships that may influence their work or judgment.
