Retraction & Correction Policy

Retraction & Correction Policy

The Journal of Taiji Science (JTS) is committed to ensuring the integrity of the academic record. We follow the best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) when issuing retractions, corrections, or other updates to published articles.

Retraction Policy

An article may be retracted when:

  • There is evidence of research misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification);
  • It contains major errors or flawed data that invalidate the findings;
  • It has been published elsewhere without appropriate disclosure (redundant or duplicate publication);
  • There are ethical or legal concerns that compromise the scholarly validity.

All retractions are clearly identified and linked to the original article. The original article remains publicly available and marked as “Retracted,” with a detailed notice explaining the reason.

Correction Policy

If errors are identified after publication that do not compromise the article's integrity but require clarification, we will issue a:

  • Corrigendum (authored by the original authors, for their own errors);
  • Erratum (issued by the publisher, for editorial or production errors).

All corrections are dated, linked to the original article, and published promptly.

Article Removal (In Exceptional Cases)

Articles may be removed only under exceptional circumstances, such as:

  • Proven legal violations (e.g., court orders, defamation, privacy breach);
  • Threats to personal safety;
  • Copyright infringement.

In such cases, the article will be replaced with a notice explaining the reason for removal.

Editorial Responsibility

The editorial team is responsible for investigating any concerns raised and will act promptly and transparently, in consultation with authors, reviewers, and institutional bodies as needed.
