- List references sequentially as superscripts (e.g., Reference1).
- Papers are limited to a maximum of 50 references.
- All references must be from recognized scientific journals or recognized electronic preprint agencies.

- Author names should begin with the surname, followed by a comma and the initials (e.g., Lee, S.T.).
- Journal titles should be written in italics, and the article title must appear exactly as published.
- Book titles should be written in italics, and must include the name of the publisher, the city of publication (if available), and the year of publication.
- Electronic journal articles must include the authors, article title, journal name, DOI or complete URL, volume number (if available), and year of publication.
- Web sources should include the author’s name (if available), the full URL, and the date accessed.
- Volume numbers must be written in bold.
- Regarding the different writing methods of “Taiji”, “Taijiquan”, “Tai Chi”, or “T’ai Chi”, JTS follows the unified conventions of UNESCO1, the Olympic Games2, the World Games3, and the official usage of the Republic of China — using “Taiji” and “Taijiquan”.
