1. How do I submit a manuscript to JTS?

Please register and log in at our online submission system powered by Open Journal Systems (OJS): https://jts.wtsf.org. After logging in, follow the five-step submission process.

2. What types of articles does JTS accept?

We welcome original research articles, review papers, case studies, brief reports, perspectives, and technical notes related to Taiji, Qigong, traditional medicine, integrative health, somatic science, and movement studies.

3. What language should the manuscript be in?

We accept submissions in English or Chinese. All accepted papers will be published with bilingual abstracts. English is preferred for international visibility.

4. Does JTS charge any publication fees?

No. JTS is a nonprofit, open-access academic journal and does not charge authors any submission or publication fees.

5. Is JTS peer-reviewed?

Yes. All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts. Please refer to our Peer Review Policy for more details.

6. How long does the review process take?

Initial editorial review usually takes 1–2 weeks. Peer review takes approximately 3–4 weeks. Authors will be notified through the OJS platform with reviewer comments and a decision.

7. Can I submit the same manuscript to other journals while it is under review at JTS?

No. Simultaneous submissions are not allowed. Authors must confirm that their work is not under consideration elsewhere during the review process.

8. How should I format my manuscript?

Please follow our Formatting Guidelines. Manuscripts must include title, abstract, keywords, main text, references, and author information.

9. What is JTS’s policy on plagiarism?

We strictly follow academic integrity standards. All manuscripts are screened using anti-plagiarism tools. Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or data fabrication will result in rejection and possible sanctions.

10. How can I revise and resubmit my manuscript?

Log in to the OJS system and upload your revised file along with a point-by-point response to reviewers' comments. Resubmission deadlines: 14 days for minor revisions, 30 days for major revisions.

11. Can I suggest reviewers for my submission?

Yes, authors may suggest 2–3 potential reviewers (with full names and institutional email addresses). Final reviewer selection is at the discretion of the editorial board.

12. Who owns the copyright to my article?

Authors retain copyright under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. Please see our Copyright Policy.

13. Where will my article be indexed?

JTS is in the process of applying to indexing platforms such as DOAJ, Google Scholar, Crossref, and ROAD. Published articles receive DOI numbers for citation tracking.
