Reviewer Guidelines
Thank you for agreeing to serve as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Taiji Science (JTS). Your role is vital in maintaining the academic integrity and quality of the journal. Below are our guidelines to assist you in conducting an effective, ethical, and constructive review.
1. Confidentiality
All manuscripts under review are confidential. Reviewers must not share, discuss, or disclose any content with others without prior permission from the editorial team.
2. Conflict of Interest
Please decline the review if you have any conflict of interest—financial, institutional, collaborative, or personal—that may affect your objectivity.
3. Objectivity and Fairness
Reviews should be conducted with objectivity, free from bias, and focused on the academic merits of the work. Avoid personal or derogatory comments.
4. Evaluation Criteria
When reviewing a manuscript, please evaluate it based on:
- Originality and significance of the research
- Scientific soundness and methodological rigor
- Clarity, coherence, and organization
- Ethical standards and citation of prior work
- Relevance to the scope of Taiji, integrative medicine, or related disciplines
5. Review Recommendations
At the end of your review, please choose one of the following recommendations:
- Accept – No revisions required
- Minor Revisions – Small improvements needed
- Major Revisions – Substantive changes required before reconsideration
- Reject – Not suitable for publication in its current form
6. Constructive Feedback
Please provide clear, respectful, and actionable feedback. Highlight strengths as well as weaknesses, and suggest specific improvements.
7. Timeliness
We ask reviewers to submit their evaluations within 21 days of accepting the invitation. If you require more time, please contact the editorial office as soon as possible.
8. Language and Format
All review reports should be submitted in clear, professional English. The editorial team may edit grammar for clarity before sharing with authors.
9. Reporting Misconduct
If you suspect plagiarism, duplicate submission, or data fabrication, please report it immediately to jts@wtsf.org. Do not attempt to investigate on your own.
